Who We Are
Oliver's Records & Oddities is a vintage vinyl record store based in the Bay Area, CA, operated by Oliver Lee. Our website is oliversoddities.com.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal personal information. Specifically:
- Email subscriptions: If you subscribe to our newsletter via Buttondown, we collect your email address. This is used solely to send you our blog updates and new listing notifications. We do not sell or share your email address.
- Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to each page. It does not use cookies or your browser's storage, does not fingerprint visitors, and only reports totals.
- Notes about a price check reading: If you send a note from the price check, we get your note, the run-out you typed, what the page read from it, the pressing you picked, and your email if you add one. We use it to fix the decoder and to reply to you. We do not sell or share it.
Affiliate Disclosure
We only recommend products we genuinely use and believe in. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content or product recommendations.
Video and Music Players
Videos: The turntable on our homepage plays short videos from our YouTube channel. They load in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which Google says keeps those views from shaping your YouTube recommendations or the ads you see elsewhere. Google may still store information on your device when the player loads or when you play a video, under Google's privacy policy.
Previews: The listening booth plays 30-second previews through Apple Music's player. The player only loads when you open the booth, and Apple may set its own cookies under Apple's privacy policy. If you're signed in to Apple Music, you'll hear whole tracks.
